How to contact the Surgery for help, advice and make an appointment.
From 24th June 2020 all non urgent enquiries for advice and appointments should be submitted via this eConsult link. Please be assured that your enquiry will be answered promptly and dealt within the same time frame as a telephone call.
For urgent enquiries please telephone 01691 772 434. Please do not wait too long to seek urgent assessment and treatment.
Your request for an appointment will be assessed on clinical need. Online booking of appointments has been suspended.
When you contact us, our GPs and nurses are able to provide advice on the telephone, or via text or video link. Patients are brought down to the Health Centre only when absolutely necessary and are screened for Covid-19 symptoms before they enter the building. A member of staff will take your temperature before allowing access to the building.
Please be aware due to the current Pandemic crisis some of our GPs will be working from home, therefore, we cannot guarantee a specific time for a GP to phone patients back. We will try to phone you back promptly. The telephone call may also be from a blocked telephone number.
Borras Local Assessment Centre
Depending on your symptoms and care needs, if your GP feels your illness might be related to Coronavirus (COVID-19) you will be asked to attend a Local Assessment Centre. These centres have been developed by your local GP practices and community teams.
The Local Assessment Centres do not test patients for COVID-19, and are only for patients who are offered an appointment. They do not offer a drop-in service.
If your GP offers an appointment at a Local Assessment Centre you will be given clear instructions on what to do ensuring the safety of you, your carer and the staff at the Centre.
You will be asked to attend the Local Assessment Centre by car and you should remain in your car with your mobile phone on and wait for further instructions.
If you don’t have a mobile or means of transport please identify this when the clinician makes your first telephone assessment with you at home.
The team at the Centre are made up of healthcare professionals already working in your local community and GP practices and you may be seen by a GP or nurse from another practice.
The development of the Local Assessment Centres follows national guidance, with similar changes already in place elsewhere in Wales.
Thank you for your ongoing understanding and support as we continue to ensure our patients receive the treatment and care they need.
